Whole House Carbon Filter
Water filters offer the last line of defense between the body and the more than 2000 known toxins that may be present in drinking water, including chlorine and other bacterial contaminants.
Here at the GreenDesert.org we recommend some type of filter to at least take the fluoride and chlorine out of your water. We use a Whole House Carbon Filtration System. The system works by reducing many contaminates for the entire house… including the front and back yards. The system also improves the general quality of water at every tap in the home.
Some of the chemicals the filter reduces from city water are:
- Diesel Fuels
Many people trust the chlorine in water is too minute to affect us, but there are several studies that show different.
In fact a report released by The U.S. Council of Environmental Quality states that “Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine.”
And the health effects don’t stop with us… chlorine is also harmful for animals.
Dr. Joseph Price, author of Coronaries/ Cholesterol/ Chlorine, did a study using hundreds of chickens. One group always had chlorine in drinking water; the other drank water without chlorine. Everything else in their environment stayed the same.
The results are disturbing. The chickens raised with chlorine in drinking water all showed some level of heart or circulatory disease. The group that drank chlorine-free water had no disease.
Also the chickens raised with chlorine in drinking water, when subjected to winter conditions, showed poor circulation. They shivered. Their feathers dropped. They became less active. The group that drank chlorine-free water did not show such reactions to the cold.

Pure water is responsible for carrying nutrients and oxygen to cells, cushioning joints, hydrating skin, converting food into energy, removing toxins and wastes, empowering the body's natural healing process and enhancing overall good health.
But the wrong kind of water can pollute, clog up and hinder your health and vitality.
A bathtub holds 151L of water. Someone in a slum may only get 30L for all their daily needs.
